My Pitch
This is a rough treatment of my project:
How to Be a Productive College Student
Generic happy music plays in the background as a title screen shows with the words “How to Be a Productive College Student.”
Next, there is a black screen with the words “How to Start Off Your Day.” A college-age woman lies in bed while her alarm is going off. She hits the snooze button and gets back under the covers.
Black screen-“How to do your hair”- The woman looks in the mirror. She has very messy hair. She looks at it for a second, and then puts her hair up into a quick ponytail.
Black screen-“How to take a shower”-She walks into the bathroom and sprays on some perfume
Black screen- “How to study for a test”. The woman is sitting on her bed looking at Facebook on a laptop.
Black screen-“How to cook a healthy meal.” The woman pours herself a bowl of cereal in the kitchen.
Black screen-“How to do your laundry”- The woman pulls a shirt out of her laundry hamper and smells it. She shrugs her shoulders, and puts the shirt on.
Black screen-“How to practice sports”- The woman attempts to throw a piece of trash away, but then misses. She doesn’t care.
Black screen-“How to retrieve a remote”-She is sitting on the couch in the living room and is JUST out of reach of the remote. Instead of standing up, she stretches as much as she can and falls out of her seat.
Black screen-“How to get a full night’s sleep”- The woman is laying in her bed playing on her phone. You see the time on her phone says that it is 3am.
Black screen.

Music Video
I really enjoy watching this video. It keeps my attention throughout the entire thing. I think it does this because the whole thing is filmed backwards. I spend the whole video going, "How did they do that?" You can tell that they rehearsed and practiced filming numerous times to get it right. They even synced up their mouths with the words. This had to have been difficult since they would've been singing nonexistent backwards words. The overall feel for the song is comical, which I enjoy. The song is original, and they did the video in an original, fun way.

Treatment Based on Interesting Phrase
"Found
my cat that's been missing for 3 days. Turns out she was stuck in the
chimney."
She’s
Lost Her Marbles-Treatment
An older woman is seen putting on a
heavy winter coat, boots and gloves. She looks around the house and yells out
“Marbles!” Looking hopeless, the woman takes a deep breath and grabs a stack of
papers and a hammer off of the table and walks out the door.
It’s snowing heavily outside. The
ground is already covered in fresh white snow. You can see the woman’s breath
as she walks down the sidewalk. She walks up to a tree and stares at it for a
second, feeling overwhelmed. Then she begins to nail the “Lost Cat” poster onto
the tree.
She continues walking around the
neighborhood, stopping at every other tree. She enters a few shops to hang
signs there as well.
After a few more shops, she begins to
feel more hopeless. Tears are welling up in her eyes as she asks a shop owner
for his permission to hang her sign. She then tells her story to the shop owner
about how she has had Marbles since he was only 8 weeks old. They are very
close and she doesn’t know what she would do without him.
After leaving this shop, the woman
decides that there’s no hope in trying to find Marbles out in this weather. She
gives up, and starts to walk back home.
The woman takes off her coat and
boots and begins to make a fire. She
sits in her rocking chair in front of the fire and begins to cry. She then looks
at the fire questioningly because she thinks hears a noise. Then, Marbles meows
loudly and runs down the chimney, through the fire and lands in the women’s
lap.

Interesting Phrases
"I'm calling it game on accounts of the rain."
"It's weird and lame and weird."
"Found my cat that's been missing for 3 days. Turns out she was stuck in the chimney."
"...like a dog returns to his vomit."
"I swear sometimes I just want to walk out in front of a bus."
"...I should just drop out of college and get a real job."

3 People to Interview
This is Jordan Green. He would be an interesting person to interview because he is a professional tattoo artist. I actually met him when he gave me my first tattoo. He used to work at Electric Rose in Elkhart, but now he lives in Michigan. He does very unique art, and he does awesome work.
This is my mother, Mary Workman. She would be an interesting person to interview because she has been through so much in her lifetime. She had a child at the age of 15 and struggled as a young mother. She also had some drug problems when she was younger, but has risen above and stayed out of trouble.
This is my best friend, Tiffany. She would make an interesting person to interview because she is 22 years old and has married her high school sweetheart. They were only 14 years old when they started dating. Her and her husband Joe are the perfect couple. I've never even seen them get into an argument. This interesting would be about if she had any tips for other couples.

Intro
Well, my name is Amanda White, but you can call me Mandi :]
3 words to describe me: Shy, creative, loyal.
I like comedies, romantic comedies, horror, and thriller movies. I like almost any TV series that is a sitcom or a drama with characters that I can relate to. Some of my favorites are: How I Met Your Mother and Doctor Who.
My music tastes are a bit random. If you put my iPod on shuffle it can range from anything between songs from Disney movies and hardcore metal. I like a wide variety of music.
I do have a video camera. However, I don't know what kind it is. I know it's a Canon.
I have no idea what kind of movie I would make if I had no restrictions. I would want it to be meaningful. Something with a strong plot, but also a strong message of some sort. If it had the ability to make you laugh, and cry at the same time, that'd be great.
I don't have any fancy equipment or anything. I do have a video camera, and some basic editing skills however. I have a Macbook Pro, so I have access to things like iMovie all the time.
What do I want to be when I grow up? I'm still not sure. I know that I definitely want to be in the new media field. Anything that combines art and technology would make me happy. I'm hoping that once I get further into my classes at IUSB that I'll have a better understanding of what types of things interest me more than others.
